Temple fairs
Temple fairs is similar to the center of local entertainment that merged the religious activities into the folkways. It is typical to organize the temple fairs in the dry season, 5 months after farmers finishing their cultivation or in the period of high tide in the 11th – 12th month of year when the rice turns grains.   At the temple fairs, people will participate the religious activities such as carry tank of sand to build the sand pagoda in the temple area, offering food to the monks, pay homage to the respectful Buddha Image. The vendors or merchants will sell their products in the market. Moreover, the fairs will arrange some toys and games to entertain people. For example,  ferris wheel, haunted house, wall of death, theater, weird booth.  Hence, The temple fairs is full of fun and vibrant which reflecting the local life in each region and time. The well known temple fairs is at Phu Khao Thong temple.
