Kid with a Topknot Riding a Buffalo
The design of a boy wearing loincloth pants with a topknot riding a buffalo while a small myna bird drops by to greet him reflects the Thai livelihood in the rural area. Back in the days, kids have a role to look after the buffalo. The buffalo and Thai people have had a close attachment since the old days. The buffalo was used as vehicle, labor force in the rice farm and basically, a friend. Thais in the past had worshipped the buffalos and had taken care of them until they were old, a scene that is rarely seen nowadays. This inspires TUK TUK to create the design in order to conserve the local livelihood for the next generation.
