Mangosteen is a tropical tree. It assumed that it originated in the islands of Sunda and Moluccas before widespread in the East India islands, Southern Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Southwest India, Sri Lanka and Thailand. According to the chronicle, During Ayuttaya period, Mangosteen was treated as the welcome fruit for a reception of the ambassador group from Lanka. In the area of  the Siriraj hospital is also situated the palace, “Wang Suan Mangkhud” (Mangosteen Palace). Mangosteen is perennial plant, milky white fruit with sweet and sour taste. It has the medic properties. It help restrain aging and has antioxidant substance.
