In this pattern, TUK TUK chooses the cheeky monkey to represent the pineapple which is one of the major fruit in Thailand. There is no obvious evidence when it was imported to the country. But it was assumed that the Portuguese brought it to Thailand since the era of King Narai in Ayutthaya period when the country had the flourishing international trade. The imported pineapple species was probably “Intrachit “species or pineapple derived from Spanish species. There were developed and increased more species because of breeding. Pineapple are grown throughout the country in many regions in Thailand. It was processed and become one of the major exported product. Bring the tangible income to farmers improving their living for a better life. Pineapple is as the indicator of the fertile land of Thailand.
